A Heart for the Homeless

Homeless men, women and children need you!

Dear Friends,

How I thank God for you and the heart you have for the homeless. Because of your faithful partnership the NLEC First Responders are on the front lines saving lives, and helping the homeless to be set free from the cycle of homelessness.

Quinton Carter Jr
Quinton

An example of the difference your partnership is making, was illustrated last Saturday night when Ray and NLEC First Responders found Quinton, who had been hit by a car earlier that day. He was in great pain, sleeping outside the old Greyhound bus station. Because Quinton was homeless, and had no insurance, he had been released by the hospital earlier with a fractured jaw, a broken foot, and rib and head injuries.

Because of your gifts to NLEC, we were able to fill his four prescriptions for medication, and purchase a bus ticket so he can rejoin his family in Louisiana.

There are so many more men, women and children who remain homeless throughout mid-America. We need your help now!

With your special Valentine’s Gift our first responders will be able to meet the emergency needs of the homeless both by day and by night. Your partnership makes it possible for New Life Evangelistic Center to help the homeless break the cycle of homelessness.

As New Life works to reopen 1411 Locust both through the initiative petition and legislation before the St. Louis City Board of Alderman, God has miraculously opened the doors for NLEC to assist the homeless in City Hall.

Every Friday morning, Life Skill classes are held by NLEC in Room 208. In class, they learn how to budget their money, seek employment and break the cycle of homelessness. Upon completion of this class Metro bus tickets are given to those attending so they can look for jobs, get to their places of employment, and arrive at medical appointments.

Please join me in praying that 100 caring people, who have a heart for the homeless this Valentine’s Day will share a gift of $240 or more. A Valentine’s gift of $240 will allow New Life Evangelistic Center to acquire much needed Metro bus tickets. It will also enable us to meet the emergency needs of those the first responders encounter as well as help to keep the safe houses for women and children open.

This Valentine’s Day, please join me in praying that many will have a heart for the homeless by teaming up with the NLEC workers who daily are reaching out through the love of Jesus Christ.

Yours in His Service,

Larry Rice

P.S. Your Valentine’s gift will make it possible for many to be set free from the cycle of homelessness through Life Skill Classes, Residential Training Programs and Safe Houses.

Please have a heart for the homeless this Valentine’s Day!
