Dear Partner,

I must ask you to please pray over a very critical need we are now facing at New Life Evangelistic Center.  This need involves restoring the New Life vans, which the homeless depend on daily.

These vans pick up those who have no shelter and take them to a safe place to sleep.  They also provide mothers with transportation for their children to go to daycare and school.  The New Life vans help the homeless take the necessary steps to break the cycle of homelessness.

Linda, Nancy, Angela, and Terry are just a few of the growing numbers of homeless people who can testify how critical it is that the three NLEC passenger vans and the cargo van are either repaired or replaced immediately.

Michael, Justise, & Journee need a ride to and from daycare daily!

The passenger vans are all 2007 vans with an average of over 175,000 miles on them.  Not only does the 15 passenger van need the air conditioning fixed, but the other vans need oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, fuel pumps and brakes repaired.

The cargo van is a 2000 model which is also presently broke down.  It needs to be immediately repaired in order that the bi-weekly donations of food can be picked up, along with the other daily donations that the homeless urgently need.

These vehicles are in constant use by the New Life Evangelistic Center to help the homeless meet essential daily needs.

Now we have an opportunity to replace two of the vans and repair the other two for a total of $22,000.  I thank God that a generous donor has already given $3000 of that amount.  Now I must ask you to pray that New Life will be able to raise the remaining $19,000 in the next 30 days.

When the 1411 Locust building in St. Louis closed, New Life opened a series of safe houses of refuge for the homeless throughout the Bi-State area.  In order to provide shelter each evening and help those in the NLEC residential training programs get to the training center in Overland, adequate transportation is critical.

Now I must ask you to please pray about sharing a gift of $100, $50, $250, $500, $1,000 or whatever you can within the next 30 days.

Your partnership with New Life Evangelistic Center in the past has directly assisted for so many hurting and homeless people.  Please help NLEC now meet this critical transportation need.

Thank you for partnering with New Life Evangelistic Center in its work among the hurting and homeless.  Because of God’s love flowing through you, the New Life team of first responders have been able to be there when people are hurting.

Please share your most generous gifts now to help get the New Life Evangelistic Center vans running.

Yours in Christ,

Larry Rice

P.S.  This past winter 85% of the homeless women who called the United Way Crisis Hotline (211) were not able to get help.  We must continue to do even more to help meet the urgent needs of God’s precious homeless children.  With your partnership to get the NLEC Vans running during the next 30 days, New Life can continue to help those who Jesus said, “As often as you have done it to the least of these you have done it unto me” (Matt 25:40).
