Participants of our Living Skills Transportation Classes are demonstrating that they are on their way to affording transportation for themselves by budgeting their money better, cutting unnecessary expenses and looking for employment. They are setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Active, Reasonable, and Timed) goals without money and employment.
We have made the lobby more comfortable and a safer place to be and are engaging many people to pursue counseling, housing, and jobs who had previously given up hope. The message of these classes is to not give up in the pursuit of doing the NEXT RIGHT THING. It is an uplifting experience for all and everyone is given the opportunity to turn from doing things that don’t work to asking, “Do I want what God wants for me? Do I trust that He knows what He is doing right now? Do I believe that God will provide for me when I do the Next Right Thing?”

We are in great need of books of 10 bus passes, which are $30 and can be purchased at a variety of places. These passes are a huge help for the men and women participating in our Living Skills Transportation Classes. Donors can mail them or drop them off at the NLEC lobby downtown at 1411 Locust St., St. Louis, MO 63103. Be sure to put “Attention Business Office” on the package if mailed or visit the Business Office window. Thank you!
