Since October 2010, we have served 1,059 people with 4,236 2 hour passes which are worth about $9,531 in metro fare rides and transfers. Of this number 590 people have not found need to return to us for more tickets.  Participants are demonstrating that they are on their way to affording transportation for themselves by budgeting their money better, cutting unnecessary expenses and looking for employment. They are setting SMART (Specific, Measurable, Active, Reasonable, and Timed) goals without money and employment.

We have made the lobby more comfortable and a safer place to be and are engaging many people to pursue counseling, housing, and jobs who had previously given up hope. The message of these classes is to not give up in the pursuit of doing the NEXT RIGHT THING. It is an uplifting experience for all and everyone is given the opportunity to turn from doing things that don’t work to asking, “Do I want what God wants for me? Do I trust that He knows what He is doing right now? Do I believe that God will provide for me when I do the Next Right Thing?”
