Photovoice by Women Experiencing Homelessness

Photovoice equips individuals with cameras so they can assist others in seeing the world through their eyes.

Photovoice creates opportunities for those who are marginalized by allowing them to actively participate in  enhancing their communities by telling their stories and have their voices heard.

Seven adult women currently experiencing homelessness in a large mid-western city were provided with disposable cameras and instruction in using a camera, basic photography, and an overview of the photovoice process.
