Friends of the Hurting and Homeless, I am writing to you about a situation that is weighing very heavy on my heart right now.  God has called me to take action about it!

“It’s our homeless veterans’ situation!”

Through the years, I have had the opportunity to help many people in all sorts of unfortunate situations.

New Life is helping veterans every day in Springfield, St. Louis, New Bloomfield and other locations throughout Mid America.

Richard

At New Life veterans like Richard find HOPE.  Richard served in the US Navy and was married for 26 years when his wife passed away and he found himself homeless. Richard told me, “The Veterans Coming Home Center in Springfield has helped me with food and clothing and resources.  I especially appreciate the spiritual help I received which has enhanced my life and helped me to get my life back together again.”

Many veterans like Richard come to New Life at first for a good meal and a hot shower. What they find is that God is love and that Jesus SAVES!

The NLEC “Veterans Coming Home” program has met the very complex needs of those who are now forced to live on the streets.   Many have turned to alcohol and drugs to try and stop the pain or just erase the horrible memories of war.  That never works!

But our Veteran’s Coming Home program does work.  It has proven itself over and over again.  Now in addition to helping homeless veterans in Springfield and working to reopen 1411 Locust in St. Louis, we have an opportunity to open a home for homeless veterans in St. Louis County.  In order to open this home, we must raise $45,000 by Memorial Day.

Dave, Tom, Ed and Neil are waiting for your response.

Veterans like Dave, Tom, Ed, and Neil will have an opportunity to live in this home and participate in occupational classes in the field of their choice, as they also participate in the NLEC on the job training program.

This Memorial Day, these men who have been in combat for long periods of time need special care, special love, and most of all they need Jesus to heal them inside and out!

New Life is here for our vets and we will never stop helping them!

We need your support now more than ever before!  Your gift today of $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more will help keep our homeless veterans programs open, and acquire the much-needed home for our veterans in St. Louis County.

You and I owe it to these brave homeless veterans, who so willingly put their lives on the line.  We must not fail them.  Please send your gift today!

P.S. There are over 13,000 homeless veterans in just the state of Missouri.  They fought for us. Now let’s help them!  As many celebrate Memorial Day and the freedoms our Veterans have fought for, please ask everyone you know to pray for and support New Life Evangelistic Centers Veterans’ Coming Home program.
