From Shadows to Shelter: Help Us Open a Safe House for Mothers in Crisis

Late one night, a woman stood in the shadows outside a gas station, holding her daughter’s hand. 

She wasn’t looking for food. She was looking for somewhere safe to sleep—just for one night. The shelters were full. The car was broken. She had nowhere else to go. 

Fear gripped her heart. Not just fear of the dark or the cold—but fear of being forgotten. Fear of what the night might bring. 

New Life Evangelistic Center (NLEC) meets women like her every week. Women who are fleeing abuse. Women whose lives have unraveled. Women with little ones in tow, doing everything they can to survive.
