How I thank God for your faithful partnership which has made such a big difference for good in the lives of so many homeless children, women, and men. When I think of how you have helped Ruby who recently came to NLEC I can’t help but praise God for raising up caring individuals like you to help New Life at this time of great need.

Ruby's baby

Ruby had been beaten by her abuser so severely that she had gone into labor early. When she came to us, her newborn was only 10 days old. Because of the love of Christ flowing through you, Ruby is about to move into a home of her own.

The NLEC Safe Houses offer a place for women like Ruby, who can along with their children, can retreat from the streets and live in a comfortable home-like environment. While they seek God’s plan for their lives, these women and children can eat a hot meal, take a warm shower, and find rest in a warm, comfortable bed.

Now the New Life Evangelistic Center urgently needs to make repairs, pay the utility bills for the safe houses it now maintains, along with acquiring necessary supplies such as laundry detergent, toilet paper, dish soap, etc.

There is nothing more heart-wrenching than to see a mother with children who has nowhere to go, and we have no place for them. To witness a mother crying and begging for help so that her children won’t suffer is something you never forget.

Many of the homeless who come to NLEC have been physically, mentally, and sexually abused and have nowhere to turn. Now, the New Life Evangelistic Center must immediately raise $15,000 to meet the urgent needs of these safe houses as well as prepare these places of refuge for the hot summer months with the installation and repair of the air conditioning system at some of the houses.

Here at NLEC, when we think of all the homeless women and children who need help, we often feel like weeping. We think of families like Jessie and Breonna, who were living in the park with their young girls. Then there was Nancy, who needed a liver transplant and was living in her car. Lindsay, who had to flee her home after her loved one was shot. The list of victims being thrust into the ranks of the homeless goes on and on.

The New Life Evangelistic Center’s first responders are seeing more and more of God’s children in wheelchairs now living in vacos (vacant houses). Others are living in their cars. Many get so tired that they just go to sleep on the sidewalk. Homeless individuals fleeing from abusive situations are calling NLEC for help.

Please let the love of Christ flow through you to be the answer to the prayers of so many like Shameika, who became homeless due to fleeing an abusive relationship and loss of employment. After living in a hotel with her two-year-old twins and exhausting her funds, she had nowhere to go. It was then that Shameika reached out to New Life Evangelistic Center for help. Her twins now have a safe place to sleep at night, and she is beginning to grow stronger in her faith in Jesus Christ.

For the sake of many women like Shameika please share your gift now of, $250, $100, $500, $1000, or more. With your help NLEC will receive the $15,000 needed by Mother’s Day, May 11th. When this happens the homeless women and children will be able to continue to have a place where they can get the help they so urgently need.

Yours in His Service,

Larry Rice   & Chris Aaron Rice

P.S. Little ones like Armoni need a Safe House to go to with their mothers in their time of need! Please give your most generous gift today to help raise the $15,000 needed by May 11, 2025.
